I have 3 - big cruiser for touring, smaller cruiser for sunny summer riding and a zephyr for winter/commuting/general. Am still kind of hankering after something small, light and fast to play out on though, the big heavy tourer might have to go........
The OH has no problem with this, at last count I think he owns 7 although only 2 of them are currently on the road.
I think if you can afford it then why not? General consensus among people I talk to seems to be if you have a "nice" bike it's work having something a bit less valuable that you don't mind getting dirty/worn out as well. ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |

Two seemed like a great idea but now I don't need a bike for work can't always find time to ride even one.
During the snow etc, if there was a clear day found myself riding one then getting the other out just to give it a run, almost became a chore.
Hopefully will all make sense now spring is coming ____________________ Current Bikes: 2006 Suzuki Bandit 1200, 2008 Suzuki SV650N.

Tell her you NEED two so that if one isn't working, you can ride the other one to save in bus fares to work ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

I'm considering a 125 to add as a mess about. Loved taking one on the motorway, sounds almost rude ____________________ Current: 2007 VFR800; Ex: 2001 YZF600R Thundercat

I have two but I have the urge for a third, a supermoto of some sort. I have the sports and muddy bikes covered but I want something thats going to be more of a toy/hooligan bike that I can ride whenever I fancy going for a blast whatever the weather. Im thinking maybe a DRZ400....
But then again if I do get a third bike I will probably want a fourth, then a fifth ____________________ Theory test - 19/8/09, CBT - 11/10/09, MOD 1 - 16/8/10, MOD 2 - 27/10/10

I have two bike but would have many more if I could, I can honestly think of ten or fifteen bikes I'd like to have in garage
But in the real world, two is ok and maybe a third! My ER6F was new so is my best bike which I use for scratching about in the good weather and touring about with the missus on the back. It really is a do it all bike, loads of fun.
My other bike is a recently acquired ZX6R that I'm planning to use for track days and possibly weekend scratching but I'm still debating with myself whether its worth keeping on the road and all the cost that go with it.
Luckily the other half is ok with two |

Hmm, I have my old learner bike as my backup. CG125..
Had it for a few years and it's never ever let me down, although sometimes it has issues with cutting out once in a blue moon.
Perfect as my gpz500 because somewhat unreliable for a couple of months constantly reverting to single cylinder.
When the time comes, the GPZ will be the backup after getting a bigger bike after restriction.. ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11
