same as evo ones. the evo yokes are similar to the 916 ones.

problem with the evo yokes is that the bars are too low and foul on the clocks and fairing when fitted.
i think its the same as the planet/raptor on the MK2, so ill have a look around.

what about bolting bar clamps to the yokes and using a flat bar or some moto-xtype bars that are the right shape?
or are you wanting clip ons?

exhausts arrived. i had to chop off the flanges so they'll fit, and i'll need to make an adapter at some point because the exhaust diameter is bigger than the pipes. brackets should be a piece of piss to make too.
and at least now the exhaust fumes wont go oiling up my rear tyre like before.

i got impatient today, as it was sparking, and powervalving...

so i mixed up a bit of premix and fed it through the carbs.
kick 1. nothing.
kick 2. a splutter
kick 3. the usual lovely room full of smoke and good noise.

i'm not running it for more than 10 seconds at a time though, because without a radiator im not too keen.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVxTVsjxsX8

if you watch the video, it starts, dies, and doesnt start again.
its because my insanely massive temp fuel tank had run dry. seems impossible i know...

https://img213.imageshack.us/img213/231/21022010037.jpg

a pretty satisfying day so far. i've also managed to wire in the mito ignition barrel so it actually works. but for some reason the engine now sparks when its off.

just final touches to make and its a goer. next weeks bike pay is going on a chain and rear sprocket.

sorted out my 2 stroke tank issue today. (cable ties will be replaced with bolts once the holes are drilled)

RGV250 oil tank
https://img12.imageshack.us/img12/3407/26022010044.jpg

hot knife to the undertray (will seal properly with black silicone sealant)
https://img237.imageshack.us/img237/9640/26022010042.jpg

aand a new sprocket for the rear
https://img706.imageshack.us/img706/4572/26022010045.jpg

ordered up the last few bits of engine i need:

> sprocket nut and tab washer
> clutch pushrod ballbearing
> 118 link chain that i hope to fuck is long enough (got a DID x ring for £60 new)

then its a case of mocking up all the mounts for the electrics with cable ties, and drilling and riv-nutting the holes for mounts for them.

Nice to hear it running.

Looks like you have made a lot of headway with your Mito since last time.

I am starting to get some where with my Planet 350.

My mate has made the engine brackets and I am now getting the frame, swinging arm and wheel painted by another one of my mates.

I am hoping to get the bits back in a few weeks then I can start to build her up.

another video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxJphw9swfo

it made its first trip outside today to fire it up properly as i was getting pretty bored of it sat there doing shit all.

hooked up the radiator, oil pump etc.
In the video though, it's in premix with a generous amount of oil. hence the smokey as fuckness. It's now all bled through and running nice and relatively smoke free.

i know theres a bit more to do. most importantly:

> get a couple of chain links added to my chain
> sort the brakes
> attach the dep cans properly

at least then it'll ride.

then the less major things are the electrics and rev counter.

I still havn't sorted the forks. the ones jackdim sold are nothing like a mito, even though he said so. which pissed me off a bit. But i've got the original forks back, so i'm going to try swapping the ends from the mito to the raptor forks.

also. my lovely white rear wheel is covered in oily shit now Sad as is my car.

I thought it was your mistake for thinking the forks were for a Raptor 125 rather than the Raptor 1000 Confused

leading me to think they were the same as MK2 ones. ie: if i say i need mk2 forks after saying others dont fit, you wouldnt really advertise forks that dont fit either, would you.

either way, they'll be used so i guess theres no point moaning. just a bit shit thats all.

I never once said they were for a Mito, the advert clearly stated that they were for a Raptor 1000. Failing that the picture in the advert showed two caliper mounts on the fork bottoms.

Shame on you for not reading the advert IMHO.

Have you thread locked the footpegs on those rearsets? They have a habit of working loose and erm.... falling off! I know! Project is looking brilliant though, cant wait to see it when its completed.

so yeah, i've started building this thing again.

Can someone please do me a diagram of how to hotwire the RD350 YPVS system?

I'm just making a switch ignition rather than a key as it'll be easier.

Not a YPVS but see the 'main switch' box, see which wires are connected when in the 'on' position and do that, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the ignition switches were the same though.
