the quantity to put in each is 280cc of oil . if one is low or dry it's because your seals or the tube is worn . pass your finger along the chrome part , if your finger is oily it's time to change seals even the tube (which is very expensive) . you can also buy some on ebay any model from 1993 until 2001 will fit your's (if it's a JC22 , serial numbers begining by ZDCJC22.....)

u have 2 change the fork oil every so often. this is wot i would do if i woz u.
take one fork and take the top off and take all the oil out ( all the stuff inside will come out like the spring and metal tube) re fit the stuff inside and fill it up with 280cc grade 10 or 20 wot ever one u whant and fit the top back on and do the same with the other fork. its best 2 do one fork at the time ect

it's not as simple as you said . the problem with these forks is that you must take them off then had a strong vice to take off the tubes . what you should do is to find some second hand (in good condition) and then change oil on them . if your forks need tube change , it will be very expensive . waiting to find those you can fill the empty tube , it will go for a while

impossible ! this is why i suggested to fill the fork and to watch what will happen . but chase forks on ebay , this will be the best solution
