No, possibly because I'm not scum, sounds particuarly bad when you hear females referring to people as mate.

Pet hate of mine maybe, comes from getting pissed off with random chavs going 'oi mate'.

It may be much better that you have different interests though?

Jokes are always best, breaks the ice and not as serious. You've done the right thing.

Cheekie, if it was any other hobby then yeah cool... its great to have time apart while you do your own things, does a relationship good to have space imo. But bikes is more than a hobby, its my life. Sounds sad I know but I eat, sleep, think, work, dream...bikes. None of my friends are into it, and when i get excited about a great run, great bend, almost wheelie Laughing their eyes glaze over and they switch off. Plus i get the "oh, bikes...they're dangerous aren't they?!" and "not very feminie riding a bike is it?"

Don't you find that?

I do understand when you get the comments of 'bikes are dangerous ect' though.

I have all the gear, just difficult with my work hours, i'm a flight attendant so hardly get weekends off ect. Also why i'm single!!! he he!

Everyone else read that as 'I shag lot's of pilot's and buisnessmen instead.' Laughing

For the record, your partner must at least accept that riding bike's is your hobby, or indeed a big part of your life. If they don't like it then there will be another person who will.

Yea my GF hated me biking and using some sundays on ridouts and did cause some friction now and then. Since my crash she hates them even more and really doesnt want me riding again,

not good but at same time i wouldnt want her wanting to come on back constantly, as i prefere riding without pillions Laughing

my gf hates me riding too, but she knows if she tells me not to do it, im gonna do it anyway. If she was gonna try and stop me then she aint worth the time of day. Biking as people said isnt a hobby its my life. Ill give you an order of preference

1, my bike

2, my cats

3, my beer

4, smokey poo

and she understands this well and doesnt come between me and them and we get on ok, apart from her cooking

Send a picture message of your boobs, and ask if he fancies a drink sometime.

You could always send me a picture of your boobs Wink

Seriousley I would be a bit flirty rather than sending jokes, he would get confused!
