As the title suggests, I've got my A2 test tomorrow morning at 10:24am. I just wanted to know what peoples thoughts were about it. Was it easy, difficult, maybe a bit of both? For those of you that have done both your car & bike test, which did you think was the easiest/hardiest? Anyways..wish me luck, and hopefully I'll pass. |

Good luck, the worst that will happen is you will fail and have to take it again, but we all know you won't fail.
Once you get out there, you will feel relaxed and in your element, just take it easy, remember the checks and speed limits, because once you get into the swing of things it feels like two minutes long, it will fly by and then you can enjoy a nice pass certificate.
Good luck. |

Don't worry about it, you'll be thinking 'god I've failed it' everytime you do something. It takes quite a lot to fail a bike test (apart from on the maneuvers such as u-turn etc.), just remember that when you start, you have already passed and it is up to you not to make the mistakes that will change that
On mine I rode like a total n00b, terrible compared to an earlier lesson i did, and still came away with only 2 minors (both for the difficult feat of turning left ) ____________________ Bikes: too many, too much for one man to maintain anyway. |

Did my DAS last year, and the best advice I can give is to try your best to stay relaxed during the ride.
Also if you make mistakes, try not to get distracted by being self critical, just put them behind you and continue with the ride.
As for comparing the car and bike tests, it's difficult for me to comment, cos I took my car test over 17 years ago, so the test requirements have changed somewhat.
I remember the morning of the DAS test though, and actually expected to be more nervous than I actually was - which must have helped by being relaxed cos I felt pretty good during the ride as well as the end of the test (and passing 1st time felt quite good too )
Good luck, and let us know how it goes? ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N

I rode absolutely shit on the day of my bike test, passed with 4 minors. You'll be fine so long as you dont do something daft, mostly people fail on the U-turn, stuff like that. Just make sure you take your time, watch your speed, and most importantly relax. I failed my first car test almost completely from nerves. If your legs start shaking ask for a moment to pull yourself together, once you are riding you'll be sweet. ____________________ Bluespark Automotive - Diesel Tuning for Performance and Economy |
