Ive got provisional licence. can I derestrict my bike?
and if not, how the police can find out that its derestrict?

they can tell by that the bike goes over 30 Razz

, remember it means you dont have insuance, road tax ect so if they do find out bend over Wink

but not many people keep there bikes that slow.

Everyone i know who had a moped a while back had there bike de-restricted, it's also safer. The many times we got pulled over the police never said anything. It's so normal to get it done it's the last thing you worry about when getting pulled over & i've been pulled by some miserable coppers before. Smile

Can you de-restrict 125s? Or is that diffrent for off-road style bikes?

im only just 16 and when i get my bike im gettin it de-restricted. my mates have been stoped many times but they always get a verbal caution.

lol ppl tune there bike 2 24bhp+ and use them on the road. 172, pipe, porting ect
u will find that most geared 125 bikes here have been derestricted and can do 100 mph.
now your question is how can the police find out your bike is derestricted.
by haveing a pipe it dont meant your bike is de resticted as they normaly come restricted so they cant do u for a pipe.
since my sis is a pcso ( yer i know she lets me ride my nsr) she stops ppl on peds every day and all she can do is get the trafic police out 2 check the bike. now she told me theres a new law comeing out soon that the police will be alowed 2 take the bike away and get it dyno'ed and they might have dyno's in vans. well the dynos in vans i aint 2 sure about that. but u will be ok if u got a derestricted bike
