At the moment i have a closed cover as you know my bike is a dry clutch, but because its closed you cant hear that trademark ducati sound.
Im going to get an open clutch cover anyway, but what are your opinions on them.

it's an odds on bet that people will write that it sounds like a bag of nails.

you do what you want to do.

I've heard one, it sounds like ball bearings beaing rolled round a wok. Not nice, and you would feel embarrassed at bike meets when everybody starts looking.

Since you asked. Ducatis on tickover sound like a bag of spanners being dropped down the stairs to me.

Personally, they're not for me. Just don't like the 'ding-ding-ding-dinner's-ready' ringing. Looks great, sounds not-so-great.

I love the mess they make when the rider unexpectedly gets a stone in there & the entire thing explodes in a mass of shrapnel taking out half the crankcase in the process. Thumbs Up

Sounds like your rattleing a bag of spanners as you ride. But there is something cool about it. As long as its a carbon open cover go for it.

I love my open clutch cover, and the noise it makes, part of riding a Ducati for me. I also love the fact that jap sportsbike riders hate it.

*cough* NSR250SP *cough* Mr. Green I also have a dry clutch, it's funny when people turn round thinking its a Ducati realise it isnt and think it's broken. Laughing
