well im yet to ride mine as.. well it currently has no wheels on it or a chain or various other bits.

but all the same it is a brilliant looking bike, sounds great, dad has run it a couple of times before taking the wheels off and he says its good to ride.

also its supprisingly easy to do stuff to, ive never done anything more complicated than put a computer together (its not hard btw), but today i managed to remove all the fairings, clean out the bike check the air filter, repair the horn, and discover my chain is ruined Razz

id recommend it despite the fact im yet to ride it.

well im not 100% on this, but when ive been wheeling it in and out the garage it can change path quite nicely, not as quickly as i can on my scooter, but it seems to have nice turning and although is heavy isnt to heavy, i think it'd be good for it.

Filtering should be fine, but in traffc (starting and stopping) it would be easier to get a four stroke, as they have more low down power so easier to set off from a standstill.

Its all to do with clutch control!

So is it a real problem or just something you need to control of?

Its fine,

i had a 2001 model and its as easy to ride as any other bike in those situations.

Obviously they do start to get a bit hot, as theres no extra air cooling flowing to the engine, but thats nothing major as long as you keep an eye on it.

Should be fine Thumbs Up

It'll be no problem.

I went out on my NSR125 rtoday for the first time and within an hour i was going through traffic fine (having never ridden a geared bike before - just reading a couple of brilliant threads in this forum).

Stalled a couple of times but got the hang of it, and now i can ride it fine. Going through traffic isn't a problem. I've refrained from overtaking for the time being but i doubt i'll have any problems.

All in all, out of the bikes you have to choose from, the NSR125 is by far the best all rounder (providing you want the speed of a 2 stroke)

Hope this helps Thumbs Up

depends what kind of traffic you're putting on it..

seriously

I had a 2001 NSR and it handled sitting in traffic/heat well.
It doesnt have the low down torque of a 4t but it's not a nightmare in traffic by any means.

As long as the coolant is all tickety boo so it doesn't over heat it should be fine.

The other day was 25 degrees centigrade here in London and I was commuting through thick rush time traffic...the bike does get a little hotter (which would be the same for other bikes I should think) but the temp gauge never goes over the half way mark, so all is good. The maneuverability is also fine.

They are good bikes! Thumbs Up

my temp gauge doesnt ever go mcuh further than the C area. lol. it gets out if and even when its been for a raggin day it is still just over the C. i assuem my temp gauge may be out a little.
but i havent got any probs withthe bike, traffic skipping is good, nice and thin makes it easier to get between cars.

Well mine would much prefer to going flat out on nice runs, traffic it dont like that much, especially plodding along behind some honda accord old couple that have been on a day trip to the garden center lol

As for heat, well it never seems to over heat usually sticks around 1/2 to 3/4 in the normal lines.

Looking at a bigger bike at the moment but kinda just want to keep my NSR as it's soo much fun, plus done so much to him and know it inside out. time will tell !!!
