well im yet to ride mine as.. well it currently has no wheels on it or a chain or various other bits.
but all the same it is a brilliant looking bike, sounds great, dad has run it a couple of times before taking the wheels off and he says its good to ride.
also its supprisingly easy to do stuff to, ive never done anything more complicated than put a computer together (its not hard btw), but today i managed to remove all the fairings, clean out the bike check the air filter, repair the horn, and discover my chain is ruined
id recommend it despite the fact im yet to ride it. |

Its fine,
i had a 2001 model and its as easy to ride as any other bike in those situations.
Obviously they do start to get a bit hot, as theres no extra air cooling flowing to the engine, but thats nothing major as long as you keep an eye on it.
Should be fine  ____________________ CBT Aug '03 ... Gilera GSM 50 ... Honda NSR 125 Aug '04 ...

It'll be no problem.
I went out on my NSR125 rtoday for the first time and within an hour i was going through traffic fine (having never ridden a geared bike before - just reading a couple of brilliant threads in this forum).
Stalled a couple of times but got the hang of it, and now i can ride it fine. Going through traffic isn't a problem. I've refrained from overtaking for the time being but i doubt i'll have any problems.
All in all, out of the bikes you have to choose from, the NSR125 is by far the best all rounder (providing you want the speed of a 2 stroke)
Hope this helps  ____________________ 2005 Gilera Stalker 50DT ---> 2003 NSR125R ---> **1999 Honda Hornet 600** |

The other day was 25 degrees centigrade here in London and I was commuting through thick rush time traffic...the bike does get a little hotter (which would be the same for other bikes I should think) but the temp gauge never goes over the half way mark, so all is good. The maneuverability is also fine.
They are good bikes!  |
