I'm going to take the missus for a picnic today, i was going to go to the local park, which got me thinking.....
As there are so many regulations nowadays i was just wondering if you can't have a picnic in certain places.
Cheers

A cool bottle of wine is good, screw top prevents any embarrassment forgetting the corkscrew Plastic wine glasses for outdoors also saves hassle (this time of year from any supermarket, Asda, Sainsburys, etc.). Don't bother with the effort of making sandwiches as such. Just get some cuts of meat, salami, paté, etc. and a loaf of uncut bread, or fresh french stick and make your own open sandwiches as required (take a knife for paté). The strawberry suggestion is also good too ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...

Wicked suggestions guys!
So, M&S is about 5 minutes from me, do they have things that are decidedly picnicy?
Bread’s a good un, some cheese perhaps, meats, um, party rings!!?
Cheers guys, any other ideas… go for it!
Oh yeah, a rug.... ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

Could always go for Bagels, they rock. Or those little fresh rolls. A French Stick is a bit unruly in the hamper.
You can get stuff like fresh prepared bagged salad. Those little cocktail sausages.
Fillings, I'd suggest fresh ham/chicken from the deli counter, much nicer than packed stuff. philadelphia (light of course).
Strawberries as mentioned, they go down well with the ladies.
Party Rings... If you get them, save me a few! ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |

In my experience you'll always find someone with an irrational objection to whatever you do. Be it park your bike, have a picnic, stand somewhere minding your own buisness.
The trick is to block out or prepare a witty reparte for them.
Or, as some BCFers might suggest, 'punch them in the head'
