I go to the gym about three times a week, run about 4miles in half an hour every time, do weight training as well and I havent actually lost any weight. Im still 13.5st when I started all this 8months ago. Even though havent been for a week due to the fact ive been revising all the time.
The only difference is im not that weedy anymore which kinda helps a lot of things. I have also lost 3" on my waist as well. I used to be a 36-37 and now im a 33-34" waist
To be honest if your fit enough just go on the x-trainer for as long as you can on "fat burn" and that will get your weight down. For me it is about 15minutes with my heart rate at 165bpm.
All you young people may not be fat but you may as well start getting fit now when it is easier, plus you wont have a bear belly appearing in your late twentys.
Good luck whoever is on the diet.  ____________________ DNA50 (sorry) ->> TZR125l >> GPZ500S |

An easy but time consuming way to loose weight (and this will work) is to go walking every day for two hours! A guy in the Para's who was into his late 30's swears by it because he can't run anymore due to injuries.
To be honest, I reckon your could get away with 1 hour initially for a month and see how it goes, but in terms of easy exercise that would be a good route to take. To be honest, if your one of these people who never get outside you'd probably find it would boost your mental focus and alertness as well since you get to be outside, in the sunshine as well.
Thing is, as long as your doing that you could get away with not eating as well as you would like because you would be burning a good amount of calories and as your fitness improved your metabolism would speed up as your muscles required more calories to keep themselves maintained.
BTW using this method, patience is a virtue. I personally wouldn't expect to see noticeable results for at least a month if not longer, but the trade of is that its easy to do, doesn't require serious effort (but don't kid yourself and fecking stroll) and doesn't cost a penny. |

Well ive lost a stone since getting back from uni.
Eatting better and less, drinking less, smoking pot less (ie less munching) and doing lots of random class A's (since they are all uppers you excercise FAR more just generally, you are up later, and they usually kill your appetite).
Hoping to lose another stone in athens just from actually getting up early enough to have breakfast dinner and tea, and from doing lots of manual labour.
I take it as a good sign my bellys gone back to its jelly like state. It was all solid before
Ive got some very weird stretch marks though, ive got a few on the belly that could be from the lard (but they are still in a weird place).
But ive got two on my right armpit, and ive not put on weight there nor much muscle...
And they were there before i lost the weight... ____________________ China traffic/travel bike vid - When I make a sweeping statement, please add the word 'statistically' in to the sentence before you bitch...

If I were to make some "gentle lifestyle changes" then I'd be looking at a weight loss plan that would take years to lose the 6 stone I need(ed) to. I'd still be on full medication for that period, too.
As far as lasting results are concerned, that's 100% down to whether you go back to old eating habits or not - not the method you used to lose the weight. I'm not saying I don't need to make those lifestyle changes, but I'll be buggered if I'm going for a half pound a week weight loss target when I can do over 5.
The only downside to this "quick fix diet" is that it's boring. The upside is that I'm 2/3rds of the way through it. I'm glad you have a method that works for you. ____________________ Current: CB500 Previous: CB100N, CB250RS, XJ900F, GT550, GPZ750R/1000RX, AJS M16, R100RT, Enfield Bullet

Actually yes TheShaggyDA I agree with everything you just said.
My former post was pretty biased because I was only considering smaller amounts of weight loss, say a stone or so. My line of thinking was to get it under control before there was a real health risk. Sorry ____________________ I want a big boys bike, preferably a Speed Triple. To date I have ?7:42p stashed away to put towards one. Need to get it in the bank & earning interest asap. |

Excuse me shaggy. I must ask a question.
If you loose 6 stone relatively quickly are you not left with a lot of excess skin?
Pleaswe correct me if I am wrong, I am a personal trainer in the gym sometimes for fun, and I meet a lot of people who are trying to loose the wieght or those who have and they are left with a lot of skin which hangs this is because obviously the skin get stretched as you grow and as you get older is looses it streghtchiness.
I hope you understand this, I would like to hear you view on the above.
Some people I have met in this state have had the surgery which obviously helps their self estime, I await your reply.

So far, the only place there seems to be "more skin than usual" is the inside of my thighs. There's nothing hanging in bags or anything like that, just that if I tense my leg muscles there's some "freeplay" in the skin above it.
I do realise that it will take time for the skin to play catch up; I won't be looking at surgery as I have no self esteem problems. It's not as though I'm trying to look good in a bikini ____________________ Current: CB500 Previous: CB100N, CB250RS, XJ900F, GT550, GPZ750R/1000RX, AJS M16, R100RT, Enfield Bullet
