Brands Hatch PACE Day - Tues 11th July, ?125

Anyone else up for this? Trackday with Hottrax on the Indy circuit, run as a PACE Day so that everyone is timed and moved up/down accordingly and put into a grid formation.

To have a look at an example of the information provided (which is interesting, if little else, unless you're a racer) have a look at the recent Snetterton 'results'.

Cost is £125 (plus £7 to hire the timing transponder). Transponders are required (but you can use your own if you have one).

I've only done it once, and was doing 1m02s laps. Nothing special, hoping to get under a minute this time. Why?

I've booked into the Novice group again. Was at brands in March(1st ever track day) and putting in 1:01s after I'd got the hang of it.

Maybe I should have gone inter this time round?

I shouldn't worry as it'll only be for the first session. They move everyone based on those times, so you could end up anywhere!

I usually end up arriving at around 8-8:30 for a trackday, as I prefer to get as much sleep as possible .

I'm aiming to get there for 7:30, and no later than 8. I'm not sure what the M25 traffic is going to be like.

I want to have the bikes out an in the garage before I go to the briefing @ 8:30.

I've still got to get the fiberglass fairing on mine, and get the new rubber on the spare wheels, I'd like to get a few miles on them too just so I dont have to waste time at the track doing it.

Your first few laps should be fine for scrubing tyres in.

I've happily used a single fast-group pace lap to scrub tyres in before a race without problems.

I'll aim to get there 7-7:30am (although I do have half the M25 to contend with, which'll be fun).

Got all my track bodywork on yesterday (looks really naff! ) and the new rubber on.

So, if you see a ZXR750 with blue fairing, white & green tank, black and orange two tone seat unit and a big number 9 on the front, move out the way!
