The place where I work is right behind this one. Everyone who turns up on a motorbike gets a free breakfast in the canteen......up to a fiver.

That'll do me........go in every day on my bike anyway.

I bet the girl on the red bike with the short blonde hair is a right goer. She's the only one with her legs open and she's giving the eye to someone beyond the camera. Dirty cow!

I put some publicity posters up in our works canteen, and sent a message to the failities manager asking if they're supporting the day (our place is usually supportive of environmentally friendly transport, ie. less cars etc)
..... but not even got a reply yet Evil or Very Mad

Shame I'm the only one in the entire place that rides Shocked

The pack made me laugh though:-

Journey Times
Prove to your work colleagues that riding a motorcycle
to work is the quickest way to travel. Arrange
to leave your home at the same time as colleagues
who are travelling by car or public transport.
Ride to work safely and keep within all speed
limits
and see who arrives first.

I dont even think thats possible !!!

HHmmm 10 mins to get gear on, 10 mins disarming all the security devices, rag to work, 10 mins securing the bike, 10 mins de-gearing ready for work. Bit dependent on journey lengths and traffic to tel which is quickest. I walk to work in 15 minutes.....quicker than the bike then...doh! Laughing

Ironic really in that I've ridden to work all winter in absolutely all weathers - however work tomorrow (the 19th) has been cancelled due to the heat Laughing
I do however plan a run over the snake, so if anyones at a loose end in the afternoon, give me a shout Thumbs Up

If you haven't already left, and that's the snake pass then I believe it may be closed for resurfacing.

Closure of Snake Pass both ways between Hurst Road and Ladybower Reservoir. Resurfacing roadwork’s.
A57 Derbyshire - Sheffield Road closed both ways between the Hurst Road junction and the A6013 junction in Glossop, because of resurfacing work.

So what do I do. I ride in to work on the hottest day of the year into central London, through Islington which is almost like a car park, temperature needle climbing higher and higher, fan kicks in and gives me a nice blast of HOT air as I wait for the traffic lights to change (got stuck at every feckin set!), look down and see coolant coming from the overflow pipe as it bubbles away in the expansion tank.

It would have been cooler on the feckin train! Mad

Crying or Very sad

For me, buy the time Ive put my gear on, riden to work, and then taken it off and got ready, it would probably be quicker by train.......... but hey...... how much better and awake do you feel after riding in.....even the commute home is more fun
