Following on from my thread about cack male drivers from the sub-continent (https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=88986) comes this little tale of danger and outrage!

I was dawdling along en-route to Tesco's, doing about 15mph down a quiet residential street, when I saw an Pakistani guy washing his car while his kid played on the pavement. As the kid saw me coming, he picked up a large rock/pebble, and heaved it at me as I drew level with them, as the dad looked on! It hit my front wheel with a very audible CRACK!!, while I goggled in disbelief at what had just occured!

Suffice to say, I slammed on the brakes, pulled a U-turn and came back around to have a little chat.

Amazingly, the guy had simply returned to washing his car as if nothing had happened, and looked genuinely surprised to find a large, sweaty and very angry lump glaring down at him, asking exactly "What the f**k do you think you are playing at, letting your kid throw stones at me". He tried to plead ignorance (probably wasn't too hard for him) despite the fact I'd seen him watch his kid do it, then turn away! After a conversation that I shan't print here for legal reasons, (Think Siggi, but with a slightly posher accent and weighing a few stone more) he eventually admitted that his kid had done wrong, and that he was very sorry, and his kid was sorry, and so on.

In the end, I had to walk away, because his attitude was so appalling I could feel myself settling into work mode, which would probably have ended up in me being arrested for multiple limb breaking.

Despite my slightly previous slightly sarcastic thread, I just can't believe that once again, my prejudices have been stoked (and proven) by another insanely anti-social act! Surely even outright tossers would want their kids to avoid doing this sort of thing until they were big enough to run away from enraged riders?

Aye, I was a little concerned, cos I'm guessing that spoked wheels are more likely to be damaged by that sorta thing than big tough cast-metal jobbies.

Gave the wheel a once-over in the car park, and it looks ok, but still doesn't excuse the little scrote and his ass-faced dad.

they would have been laughing at you when you walked off even though he apologised at the time.

In these days of mobile phones, you just need to pull out your phone and say something along the lines of "Well, if you still think it is so amusing, why don't you explain the joke to the police." and start dialling.

Coppers are unlikely to do anything about it but if I read the situation correctly, he is in a quiet housing estate of the type where you stand outside on a Sunday afternoon and wash your car while your kids play in the street. The curtain twitchers would have a field day if a cop car appeared outside his house and he knows it.

The kid who tried to drop a stone or brick on me from an overhead pedestrian crossing on the A41 was defenitely not pakistani. Idiots come in all colours, sizes and shapes.

Outside a restaurant, an italian dad watches on as his fat twat son throws a stone at me.

( bla bla, on a pizza hut scooter) ..I nearly hit the kid!

15 years old or something. The dad gets involved, I get Pizza Hut involved, they just tell me to either calm down and not to make a meal of it, or go home.

Needless to say, I am now unemployed, pissed off with the kid, the dad, and my ex employees!

cock scratchers.

It's so easy to lose your rag in that situation so well done on being restrained!

You should have shown him your ID or warrant card, call the police, go to 'citizen' arrest the kid for attempted manslaughter....the father would have sh*t himself.

children ALWAYS throw shit at cars, an incident occured at my school where childern started throwing rocks at cars passing , cops turned up children ran away.

its a lose lose situation esp with chavs ,if you catch up with them and break their legs , you end up in prison AND your taxes end up subsidising the rest of their life on benefits.

A mate lost his rag once after his wife was beaten up by a gang he went to save her with a broom stick, guess who got cuffed?

I think maybe we should start going towards a plutocratic system , in that if you haven't worked over the past 4 years or so , you get no vote, though this is mainly directed to chavs, why should people who have never contributed decide how to spend OUR tax money?.

The kid couldn't have been older than 5 or 6, so while I'd expect him to know better, I couldn't really justify bouncing him off the walls.

As Siggi points out, it's a fairly common attitude now, this total lack of interest in anyone else but you and yours, but that doesn't make it any less galling - or dangerous for the guy in question, he wouldn't have stood a chance if I really lost it!

I wish I'd taken my mobile to the shops, as Stinkwheel's idea is a good 'un - however, it's only a mile and a half, so I don't usually bother.

Likewise, I didn't have my warrant card on me, because it's attached to my duty belt along with all my other gear - I'd look a bit silly traipsing round Tesco's with jeans, a T shirt and Batman's utility belt! (although that said, the urge to drop and cuff the slack-jawed ghanian security guards is getting overwhelming).

you sir are a rascist. no actions or experiences can defend that statement.

siggi is much closer. Prats come in all shapes, sizes and colours. skin colour plays no part, the fact that they are an idiot does. If you do however look into this sort of thing. Then you can find religious beliefs play a part in their attitude towards others. some religions see "infidels" (i.e. non believers) as the enemy. and under their religion, they are actually authorised to kill you. interesting how you see people of this faith cause much harm to others without care.
i feel it is best not to name the religion in question, do some research and you can see for yourself some suprising/shocking results.

It's more a cultural thing - religion is only one of many factors within that.

I'm an Senior Immigration Screw - which gives me a little more pull when dealing with dusky gentlemen like this fellow. Judging by his accent, he wasn't born here, and it's highly unlikely that he'd be able to tell my DCO warrant from an IO's badge. As I learned when getting discounts and free travel with my Navy ID, it's not so much the actual legal status of your position or rank - it's how important you act as you flash it!

On my way home from work (5 days a week, well to and from work) i skip through an industrial estate which inturn goes through a 'pakistani' infested council estate. (it misses out a not so round-about and a big ass junction and it is literally a few minutes quicker)

Anyway, everytime i ride down there i get little numb skulls through pebbles at me, coke bottles (coca cola or bottles used for coke lmao) thrown at me...99% miss me but the odd bottle has hit me, not to bothered as it can't cause much damage or knocked me off (ie hitting the seat, engine, pannier or what ever)

Anyway, riding down there today i got this other lil numpty that decided to throw a stone about half the size of a red brick at me, just missing my lovely chrome exhaust Smile and going ride underneath of me...even though it didn't hit me i was pissed off and had enough so about 100m down the throad...i slammed the front brake on, dropped it into first with full lock on and floored it (ie doing a 180...was quite fun actually, never even thought about it..i just did it) and cranked it open towards him (he was about 15/16 ish)

picked up the brick he threw at me and launched it full pelt at his bike (he was on a little bike, you know the kinda..about 3 foot to tall for a tiny kids bike from pound stretcher!) and totally fandoogled his spokes on the front wheel. As you would expect, he was mega pissed off and his dad came racing out giving it all mouth and no action. So inturn you give it the blah blah and the finger and speed off, where as if the stone had hit me...he would of had more than a stone hit him the bloody lardy (no offence meant to slightly larger people..i aint so small myself Smile )

Anyway, it would of probably been a lot quicker to go round the dodgey roundabout thingy and through the junction but heyho...was worth it Smile

Rant over, now then guys and gals...see if you can understand that^^^ Razz

Matt
