just seen a rather nice Ducati Monster 600, going for £not-a-lot

I'm Soooo tempted, but can I really justify 6 bikes?

I'd love a duc, and I don't have anaked/street bike in the stable, so this would kill 2 birds with one stone.

or should I sell something first?

or am I just being silly!!

NNNnnnggg...! Neutral

What bikes do you have already? With 6 bikes you should have all bases covered I would have thought?!

i'm going to get rid of the CB, and I have a buyer lined up for the FZR400 once I've sorted the suspension and put some new tyres on it..

You don't need to justify it. More than one is too many in reality, why stop at 5?

Much as I don't like Ducati's, if it's a decent price, so you won't lose much if you sell, then I'd say go for it.

Wanna buy a nice BMW rat bike while you're at it? Very Happy

nah... all my bikes (apart from the FJR) are tatty, and far from desirable.

Who'd want a cat-c write-off, 10 yr old Firestorm with 64k on the clock, shitty wheels that have had the paint stripped off with brake fuild spills and mis-matched bodywork?

Who'd want a Thunderace that's been dropped several times, has 57k on the clock and has tatty bodywork with cracks and holes in?

I like my bikes, they have character and ride well, but there are much more desirable machines out there.

Minitwins is maximum of 650cc for liquid cooled bikes, they have been raced in other series in the past though.

I quite like TRX because I approached as a 'commuter' bike, even a race prepped one would feel fairly tame compared to a half decent sports 600.

fair enough... but with an FJR, a Firestorm and a Thunderace, I've got enough "poke" with those ones...

the Monster is a bit of posey fun.
