I've got a dodgy side stand switch and it kept cutting the engine whenever I tried to engage 1st and let the clutch out (as it should), but when the stand was up .
I disconnected the wire, yet it still keeps on doing it. I refitted the connection, gave the piston a damn good wiggle with a screwdriver and it seems to have worked.
Any reasons why a disconnected switch would still cut the engine ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

2 off the top of my head. I was tempted just to cut the wires as I could'nt remove the switch, so glad I didn't ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

If you (siolder) the two wires together and seal them the job will be good.
But just dont leave the sidestand down whatever you do. |
