Test days Vs Track days?

With the bike soon to make its road worthy return I have been looking at track days, the next one at Brands is well over £200 for a full days riding, whereas a test day is much much cheaper (about £90) and slots of 50mins.

Could anybody attend a test day to 'test' their ride and tear up the track a little? Or is it desgniated for the track hardened biker?

Would the day be quieter with less people on at anyone time meaning more concentrated riding and less hold ups?

You'd certainly need a good lie down after 50mins of tracktime in this heat. We were doing 15mins sessions at Donny yesterday and it was just shattering.

Not really sure if anyone can ride though. Give them a call, it may be acu folk only as people out testing may not want to be held up by the average Joe. Not that I say your slow, but you know what I mean.

The next Brands day is the full GP circuit, thats why its so expensive. Have a look at doing an evening one, its about £65 and you should get 3, maybe 4 sessions in.

Test days are usually restricted to ACU & MSA Licence holders only.

You can get on the indy circuit for well under £200

Could only find car test days at Brands and these were £195 for the whole day on the Indy circuit - though they do do half days at £135 or something.

Bike test days would only be ACU licence holders I expect.

Brands Hatch is always very expensive in the summer. Why not look at somewhere like Lydden or Snetterton?

Bloke at work suggested Lydden as a nice short course

Brands Grand prix circuit is booked for me £219

Normal indy circuit at brands is £149 or as G says try snetterton, these circuits are only around £79 which is a reasonable track,
