Stolen Gixxer k6 750

One of the maintainence guys at work came out of the Gatehouse to find that his stealth GXR had been pinched during the day.

Looking at the camera files, it seems that the 2 weasels had ridden up on another sportsbike, one guy had jumped off - started up the Gixxer and then they'd both ridden off together.

The total time from arrival to getaway was less than a minute.

Is it me, or does that suggest an inside job, with someone in the dealership passing on a key? I'm assuming that the new Suzukis have immobilisers built in - which would make it fairly unlikely that someone would be able to hotwire the bike in under a minute?

The only other option I can think of is that it is some kind of insurance scam, and carried out at work because the location and cameras will provide an air of credibility to the loss report.

Fucking scum, Riders stealing from riders. I would agree it does seem very suspicious as the key has some kind of in built pin so it would be very hard to deactivate the immobiliser.

I think you can only have 2 keys registering the same code so it would seem a little strange that there could be a copy of the key. Unless he lost the spare?

I agree, my bike is locked whenever i'm not on it, but that is very worrying if they did manage to get hold of a key for it

the k6's have SAIS immobilizers, the keys are encoded (in his manual theres a little number that has to be programmed into the key)
