How small do you think your plate would have to be for it to be unrecognisable? Thinking

What nabbed you? was it a van, looks like it with the height of the pic.

You do need to be able to smell cameras these days.

yeah it was a mobile van. didnt even see it at all, sneaky bastard seems to be on the other side of the road too from the angle of the pic. I'd seen the van parked up a mile or so away earlier on my ride so assumed it would still be there.... i was wrong!

Can snoopers run off a bike battery if i hard wire one in?

Thanks whosthedaddy, Spidi two piece.

I've got a road angel fitted to my SV. Also use it in the car. Saved my licence on numerous occasions and so I don't drive/ride anywhere without it now Thumbs Up

that sucks Thumbs Down i cant believe they are taking you to court from 42 in a 30. All the other traffic probably doing to same, it hardly look like a massive danger from the pic.

I hate the police more and more each day!! Evil or Very Mad

If they use a laser system and the beam passes over the sensor then yes. You can buy aditional sensors if you want to stick over various parts of the bike to increase the chances of it detecting a beam.

Its not a laser detector you need because if it detects a laser the laser has detected you so it's too late.

What you need is a laser jammer although your in trouble if you get caught using one.

They often stick scamera vans in by that church on London road.

It's quite a misleading road, although it's a 30 it's very wide and implies 40 to you. But never mind. We've all broken the limit there, just guess you were unlucky.

Nice bike btw. (Join www.essexbikers.co.uk (unless you already have))

The crosshairs in that picture are certainly not focussed on the registration plate (a flat part of the bike). They are only just hitting the rider, never mind the bike. It's almost on the white car in front of you to your left.

From what I've read in MCN and the like, I'm not at all sure that would give an accurate reading. Ask for more pictures (although you might have to plead not guilty to get them).

Fit a garage door sensor to your bike, sorted. I reckon a tv remote hartwired to your bike emitting an IR beam would do a fairly good job of jamming it Thinking

Unlucky keir, I was the other way round!!! 3 years ++ of riding motorbikes on the road like a loon, wheelies, stoppies, knee down and fast speed runs and stuff, no speed tickets, never even got stopped by police and no accidents involving any one else..

Yet within 6 months of car ownership I crash into a BMW, entirely my fault Embarassed (well, sort of but sort of not, they saw it as my fault but I blame the shit traffic light system which they have since changed Wink ) and then I get done for speeding, 55 in a 30... got 5 points and a £200 fine, BASTARDS!!

Laughing

Erm, doubt it'll do much to the radar or lazer guns, unless they happen to be watching TV at the time and are distracted because it keeps changing channel Smile.

The lasers are infrared. I reckon it might interfere.

Ahh, bugger. Forgot they tested that, however the garage door transmitters do work, as proven by 5th gear
