Following on from the “Hey, what bikes do you ride?” post, I thought I’d start one on the bikes you used to ride. So if anyone’s got any pics of their ex-babies, please post them. The older the better!

Here are my two oldies: a Honda CG125 (1980) and on my Kawasaki Z250 (1981). Laughing

I was rebuilding one of them not long ago till i ran out of money and time, rit here has it now (finished i'm not sure?!) i think it was a 79 model, looks the same anyways!

Yamaha DT125 - First bike, had it with L plates for about a year and half, then used it to get me through my full test, and kept it for another 7 months after that.

Suzuki DR350 - Lovely bike, potentially serious clutch and gearbox problems forced an early sale, only had it for 4 months. This bridged the gap between my 125 and current 500. I'd love another one Smile

1999 SR125 Brought this after gaining by CBT and kept it for a few months whilst saving up enough to do DAS. Was a bit worse for wear when i got it, but after a few weeks work with a tin of polish and black engine laquer I got it looking like the photo below. Part ex'd it once passed for the gpz below.

2000 GPZ500s My work horse for over a year and I went everywhere on it. It even took preference over my car in winter and sounded great with it's predator 2-2 system.

I was a complete retard for selling that ZZR250

Got the bike for £500 and she was mint , it was fitted with a custom exhaust system which cost £600 and sounded the dogs bollocks plus it had 45,000 miles on it and it came with repits what showed the engine had been complete re-build with re-bore/pistons/bearings etc at 42,000 miles by a professonal comapany.

Only got £800 on ebay for it.
