I think with a little modification, you can get an R6 / R1 shock to fit.

You might want to check out an FZR forum first.

Thumbs Up

I imagine the other early FZRs will be the same as the Foxeye. I expect it was changed for Fazers in 1996, when the Fazer and Thundercat were released together.

Is a Fazer and a FZR the same thing? Rolling Eyes If so, the fully faired ones should all be the same as the Foxeye. The unfaired ones will most likely be different.

I doubt it'll fit. The R6 has a remote reservoir mounted on the back of the shock, It looks like it would foul the fzr600 swingarm.

That FZR swingarm looks worse than mine Laughing

And there is just enough room for the shock and spring, nowt else.

That's a 1989/90 FZR600 swing arm though. The FZR600's from 1991 and then FZR600R's from 1993 onwards had the deltabox tapered style swingarm:

Sorry, I must try harder next time. Heres a diagram of a 1994 FZR600R swingarm. I'd say it has about the same clearance as the earlier models so i'm going to stick my neck out and say an R6 shock will not fit.

earlier R6 shocks with the side mounted reservoir may fit.

same year FZR750 or 1000 shocks may be a better bet.
