They're great. With just a bit of peer pressure, you can take someone's who's straight and before you know it they'll be on weed, mushrooms and coke. Thumbs Up

tsh tsh ste, behave yeself!

Personally bit of weed here and there is fine. Dont care what other people do or dont do so long as it isnt in my house around my child whatever floats your boat.

THink its a bit childish thinking that maybe they are cool or something, they are simply a fact of life nowadays....they exist, and some people do them and some dont.....

IMHO excessive use kind of kills the fun element.....

Alcohol's a pretty nasty drug in my opinion.

I was actually thinking caffine, which also isn't too great, but is usually taken in very small doses Razz.

I appreciate he was probably talking about 'illegal' recreational drugs.

Oh and I've never actually smoked a ciggarete either, although I have done all sorts of other thinngs, including tobacco mixed with other substances.

"Drug classification rethink urged"

Notice that alcohol and tobacco are ranked higher than lots of illegal drugs. Wink

There's no want to about it, it is. being legal doesnt make it suddenly not.

Legalize the weed! and pretty much everything else aswell, having it all illegal is the most stupid idea of the 20th century and has been the direct cause of the violence and crime associated with drugs.

The government like to harp on about drug crime but they are the one's that caused it all.

am i the only bady in here? Shocked

tried nearly all except herion and otehr silly things like mushrooms. i had to , not peer presure i have a mind of my own. and i say if i never done it i would not be where i am now and i would be still wondering what it was like. i still know alot of people that to, but let them ruin their bodies as its theirs andi am not to say. but it did leave me with problems and i am in a better position to advice young people on drugs than someone who has never touched them in there lives.

i had fun though! but am total drug, alcohol and smoke free now.

i do worry about some though who have not grown out of it and continue to kill themselves.

I used to do quite a bit of cocaine. All started quite innocently. A few lines here and there with a few drinks. I never really noticed when I first crossed the line from being an occassional user to someone that resembled an addict.
I found myself going out to pubs and clubs every night. Spending anything up to £500 on a weekday night out. I turned my back on my friends and started associating with some really bad people. My life was really on a downward spiral. All the time I held down my job but my drug taking had started interferring with my work. I needed cocaine to get out of bed in the morning and I took diazepam so that I could sleep at night. If it wasn't for the kindness of my work colleagues I would have lost my job long ago. On more than one occasion I have gone straight from work to the pub, from the pub to a club and from the club to a friends house. There we'd have a gallon of whiskey and a load of cocaine. From my friends house I would then go into work.
On more than one occassion I have had enough illegal substances on my person to land me in prison for twenty years. I didn't care. I became a horrible, cold person. All I was interested in was cocaine. One night a girl that I was with died of an overdose. I didn't give a flyer. She was the butt of jokes for weeks.

Basically loads and loads of horrible things happened. All because of cocaine. I tried to quit it many times but found it impossible. By this time I was getting it for free. My friends had money coming out of their ears from selling drugs and other things. Everytime I wanted to stop I was always offered some more and always took it. I was in and out of hospital more times than I care to remember.

I only managed to stop taking it when a really good friend offered to let me live with them. It was a hundred miles away from where I lived. He said that him and his wife would look after me (by this time I really did need looking after.) In doing this they saved my life. Just after I left a couple of my friends got shot. About six months later my best friend died. I'm so glad I wasn't there for any of it.

Within a year of quitting cocaine I put on four stone in weight. I was happy in my life and I was promoted at work. I lived away from my hometown for a further three years.
Now I am in a 30k + job. I have a beautiful wife, An adoreable baby, a cute dog and horse, a lovely house, a bmw and a few nice bikes. I was lucky to escape what would have been a very miserable end to my short life. I am totally indebted to my friends for moving me away from all that shit. I owe them my life.

Anyway the moral to this story is class A drugs are plop. They're banned from most countries in the world for good reason. Leave them alone kids Wink
