I have the same bike as Annabella and it zooms! I have hit a max. of 95+ mph and it seems to want to go even faster I could chek out the top speed cause its not stable. The RK really moves.

Oh.. I have a 13 toothed sprocket at the front and the same as you guys on the back I think.

Oh and BTW, does anyone know why the bike loses power on the lower revs and misses like crazy when cold? I have noticed this lately and didn't have much time to mess with it!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!

To be honest - I DON:T KNOW!!! It just does it. However, I've put an original exaust on which I scrounged off a breakers (cos my fairing wouldn't fit over the bodge I had on before) and today I could only get 85 out of it at about 10, it just would not red line in fourth..... Crying or Very sad I dunno - racked off now. But it has cured the coughing problem It used to splutter at about 5.5 - 6 grand of revs like it was gonna die, then the power band would cut in and it would shoot. Doesn't do that anymore, so while i've lost top end it accelerates quicker...Hmmmm decisions decisions (might have to invest ina decent exhaust system)

A half chopped can off an Aprilia welded on the back of what looked like a bit of plumbing....

Wey hey!!! "at the end of the day, it ain't rocket science" as my boss is continually saying

Back to the subject of speed
i see that everyone is saying the imports can only do 85mph. in theroy couldnt you just put big front sprockets and small rear sprockets and do like 130mph but have the bike accelerate slow??

Well, according to that the last post in this topic: https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=10065, the import NSRs have "a 22 bhp cylinder, compared with 28-30bhp on a UK bike..."

I personally can't comment on that, but it seems logical...?

Unfortunatley you need to certain amount of power to overcome the the opposing forces (mostly wind resistance)... which means you'll probably never get 130 out of a standard NSR engine with out a completley different bodywork/chassis.

well if a nsr125 uk does 100 with standard sprockets 0 -60 in 5 seconds and 110 with one more tooth 0-60 in 6 seconds and a restricted does 75 0-60 in 11seconds (acording to nsr125.com) then shurley there is still al lot of power left in the nsr engne (uk one i mean now) so i think it should be able to do around 120 -125 witha 0 - 60 of 11 seconds derestricted if u have large enough sprockets??
just my thoughts im proberly compleatly wrong but it sounds logical!

Annabella, unfortunately exhausts are rocket science, its all about inverted pressure waves sucking out the old gases. Think i might go for the jolly moto, obviousely the original exhaust is crap if a dented one works better!!!

Just out of interest has anyone tried a big bore kit on an NSR125? what cc is the cylinder kit for the latest NSR? I have heard that the Polini 165 kit works well on the Cagiva Mito, and that there are some that do between 110-115mph true speed.
