Right basically went looking at Bikes again today.
I was originally going to go for an SV650S, but i sat on it today, and i feel a bit small for it, as in i have to stretch my arms alot further and dont get any bend in my elbows at all. I then tried the GSR 600 which was very comfortable and more up right, a bit like the Hornet which i also like. Then i sat on a new GSXR K6 and it fit absolutely beautifully, it just felt so comfy and so right, had a test ride of my mates already so i know what their like to ride.
What im wondering tho is, because i dont really want to pay £6500 on a brand new bike, i aimed to pay say not more than £5k for a bike and the rest for insurance. Is there any diffrence in the K4, K5, K6? Just i really like them because there comfy and they look really good.
Its now a toss up between the GSXR600 and GSR 600 and possibly a Hornet. Because they all felt really comfy.
Just what am i looking at insurance wise also on a GSXR 20 year old 1 yrs ncb. Did a quote for a Hornet which came out at £700 fully comp with Carole Nash. Which isnt bad. ____________________ JACK, MISS YOU LOADS YOU LEGEND. |

Hi,
I have just come off of my two year restriction for my licence and bought a 52 reg hornet 600 (faired) and its comfy, surprisingly fast and handles brilliantly in my opinion id say the hornet as in the right hands it could see off a lot of pretty boy sports bike riders and when it comes to insurance try ebikeinsurance.co.uk. I am 19 and found that it offered the best quote by far.
Good luck bike hunting

Ill have to ask, theres only E.S.B in Bolton which dont have a Hornet demo bike, but ill try Hunts Honda in Burnage.
Are they nice bikes to ride? I have run few quotes off for GSXR600, GSR 600 AND Hornet and i got raped with the GSXR600 so think thats out the question now
So GSR 600 Or Hornet i think, because they feel right, whereas the SV hurts. ____________________ JACK, MISS YOU LOADS YOU LEGEND. |

I personally can't recommend the Hornet enough, but then I do own one Good handling, reasonable brakes, good acceleration, reliable etc. Only gripe is the windblast, but then it is a naked bike. I went with MCE for my insurance, £683 fully comp, 21 year old, 0 NCB.
I don't know what the GSR is like, but it does look damn nice . Plenty of good reviews out there. |

Coming from a drz 400 SM to a faired hornet 600 made me really appreciate having the wind protection, think hard about what your going to be using the bike for and go from there. i nearly bought the naked one just for the rude boy streetfighter looks but as far as practicality goes, faired is the one for me, they dont look too bad either ____________________ Gas on, clutch out, wheel up! |

Dont worry im already used to Budget brakes on a cbr 125 I defo want one, its just a case of waiting till end of september/Early october so i get my 2 yrs ncb as opposed to just 1.
And i like them in Orange, and ill probably try and wangle a Belly pan, because they look sexy. Either going to go for a 55 reg, or just fuck it and buy a spankers one
Id love Gixxer 6, but the quotes i got for it, lets just say i had cheaper insurance on my 1.6 Litre Fiat Bravo ____________________ JACK, MISS YOU LOADS YOU LEGEND. |

It will most likely be a Pre registered one, seen one for 4200 only got the delivery miles on. And a 55 reg one for bit less than that which looks immaculate.
Id do the 0% deal but it runs out end of the month, and im planning on getting my bike end of september. Not really in a rush, should have it by september tho Its defo going to be orange, because i think it looks sexy and different that colour. ____________________ JACK, MISS YOU LOADS YOU LEGEND. |

FFS, Colin it doesn't matter if he buys new, if he's got the money than do it, if we all went with the advice "buy second hand", then nobody would buy new bikes and we'd all be riding 1980's bangers.
Some people don't have nightmares over depreciation.
bwfc, wait until the new 2007 Hornet model comes out, gonna be a right beauty from what i've heard and now fuel injected. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it?s worth. |

Im not to worried on the depreciation, i have the money to buy new, and the extra peace of mind is worth it. And plus its nice seeing your nice shiney bike arrive on your drive. And it sounds sad, but i love running them in
Have to see on the 2007 one, because that may enable me to get a brand new 2006 one at a bargain if there changing it for 2007.
Im gonna try wangle a new jacket also ____________________ JACK, MISS YOU LOADS YOU LEGEND. |
