Heya.

Ive noticed some bikes with incredible bright head lights during the day, It dosnt blind you but it really makes the bike stand out... which is good for safety.

What are they called? Will they fit an rs 125 2001 model?

Blue or white light bulbs are brighter than the old fashioned yellow ones.

Allthough when its foggy or raining yellow bulbs are more efficient believe it or not.. (fog especially, in fact red works best, but for obvious reasons wont find them on the road..) *excieing eh..

There probably some of the 30% extra bright bulbs you'll see, phillips make some gooduns.. the real soloution is to fit higher rated bulbs, allthough not technicaly legal they will make a more noticeable improvment (if your lights run off relays tat will save you allot of effort Wink

I fitted a bosch ice blue halogen to my bike and it's bloody powerful. My headlight lets off a hell of a lot of steam when it's raining. If your bike uses halogen bulbs, they'll fit Thumbs Up

H4 Osram Silver Star Bulbs at about £12/pair should do ya (assuming you have a pair and they take H4 size Smile )

Had to flatten two small prongs on mine to make 'em fit the Thunderace, and was tipped off by the guys at the 'ace forum (cheers guys) about 'em, but going from 35 watt to 55/60 watt makes a fair old difference Smile

Yeah bulbs are the easiest way to get more light. If that is not enough it gets more pricey and more complicated and HID conveersion kits are the next step: https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/product.php?productid=16381&cat=0&page=1

Yep, as said above the ones you are seeing are HID's. You cant get brighter, they come at a price but worth every penny. All these coated bulbs are crap as the coating reduces the life of the bulb, Philips Blue vision bulbs actually state that on the packaging.

Ride did a review and I think Philips Bluevision came out top.

Mint though think it cost me £12 for one bulb.

I got 4, 2 for the car and 2 for the bike the ones in the car lasted 6 months and the ones in the bike only lasted a month. I complained to philips about the life of them and they told me that its normal due to the ble coating on the bulb making them run hotter! Shocked WTF...Never again.

*edit* BTW they were much better than standard bulbs but at a crazy price.

HID is the way to go.

Its a case of 'Let there be light, and there was light'!

Cost for the XX is about £200 for parts though Mad
