How much do fairings cost?

As per title, say for a Honda CBR600, how much would it cost if you dropped it and broke lots of plastic?

To make the pound more stable, the UK is thinking of using the "Japanese Plastic Standard" to base its value on. This is because Japanese plastic is more expensive than the gold that the pound used to be based on.

Seriously, fairings for bikes are hideously expensive. Honda were proud that they had kept the price of a complete set of replacement plastics for the CBR600 down to £600 when they released the bike. And that was in 1987.

Aftermarket and replacement panels are expensive

You can get cheap 2nd hand ones, but you do get what you pay for

i paid £200 for a new front fairing for my gsxr and it was £325 for a side fairing.

Crash bungs for general 'try and save your fairing' protection, the other for specific areas if you feel the need.

Be aware, however, that R&G bungs are more designed to save your bike than your plastics, so they aren't a complete magic solution.
