How can I check to see if the oil pump on my '92 nsr125 is working properly? I've never had it running yet but judging by the state of the piston/rings that could have been the problem and I dont want it happening again!

Thanks
Rob

first of all , open the pump cover . then turn your right handle at maximum . on the cable guide and on the pump body you see 2 notches , they must be on line . if not , where the cable get in , you have an adjuster , untighten the counter-nut then tighten or untighten the adjuster to put these notches on line , when ok tighten the counter-nut . the normal oil consumption is about 1L for 5-6 full tank (as your tank is 10 L) , so note how much miles you've done when you need to refill the oil bottle , if something wrong , change oil pump

Thanks for that, I'll have a look at it if it stops raining today!

Thanks
