My eyes are fucked?! Confused

For some unknown reason I can't stop blinking, like twice a second, been like it for a couple of days now, can't concentrate on anything at all and my eyes are really raw now, WTF is up with them? I look like an absolute retard at work with my eyes blinking. Sad

Anyone got any ideas what's wrong? Anybody else experienced it? Done no drugs, getting about 8 hours sleep.

It's probably a few things. I find now my eyes get quite irritated from the computer screen and air con etc.
Try reverse blinking - close your eyes and only open them briefly once every few seconds. Thumbs Up

Seriously though if it feels like something more than an irritation after eye wash/drops don't work then I wouldn't mess about, go and see a doctor. Eyes are priceless.

Don't you suffer from hayfever Jon?

Might be an allergic reaction to your eye drops or alternatively they might not be doing the job anymore (I've found that continual use lessens the effect of various hayfever remedies).

Either way go to the Quack Thumbs Up

Well I thought i'd just ask here incase anybody has had the same sort of symptoms before incase I neednt bother going to see a GP.

Tried finding something on the NHS Direct website but the problem is I could diagnose myself with anything if I interpret it wrong. Laughing

Yeah but my hayfever stopped about a month ago now, so haven;t used the eyedrops for about a month.

I have read that antihistamines can have a bad effect on your eyes as can smoking, but I have quit now for 1 and a half months.

It sounds like when i scratched my retina, got given some smelly ointment to help them.

Go to an optician. They'll sort you right out

Go to your pharmacist and ask for "Sno Tears" (I think!)

Drops to just help keep your eyes moist might relieve some of the pain.

Could be the PC. Once after I had been on it a while, my left eye just had visons of white. Like I was blind.
Scared the hell outta me.

Hi,

It could also be the start of conjunctivitis which can be painful (you might hav trouble opening your eyes tomorrow). If you cannot be arsed going to the quack the local chemist will be able to help

Regards
Charlotte

I've been getting wierd "eye bogeys" on my peepers recently..

Seems every couple of hours i have to fish out a half inch long gacky stringy bogey thing off of my eyeball.. because when i blink it goes over the pupil and makes it all go blurry.

Pretty weird.

Wow, your scenes go on for a couple of hours?? That's some bongo vid.....you should ask them to do it on your chest instead though. Laughing

Ehem joking aside there's a chance that it's "dry eye". If you work anywhere with strong air con or fans you can get it. I think all you need is a few of those saline eye drops. In Japan eye drops are really popular, there's loads of different drops that claim to do different things but its quite common place to see people squirting themselves....

Did anyone else start blinking randomly after they had read the first post? Damn subconscious!
