Can anyone give me advice on any way of improoving the cooling system on my 350lc fans etc as imusing my bike reg and doin long dist i dont want to fry it all suggestions app

Mate, it would be a easier to read your posts (and reduce your chances of getting ignored/flamed) if you typed all of your words fully....and using spaces...

So is your bike actually overheating at the moment? What kind of journeys do you make? If you get stuck in traffic often then your bike is bound to get warm...I often switch the ignition off if I expect to wait a while.

to be fair i use it as my main transport and run around with bigger bikes although i don t struggle to keep up with them i do have to stop to cool down usual trips are matlock from stoke or blackpool i just wonderd if there was any modifications possible

The bike shouldnt overheat, check you have enough liquid in it and that the cooling fan is actually working etc.

Yeah, check your coolant level and mixture. The fan shouldn't kick in until a certain temperature anyway, but you can probably modify it to stay on all of the time (or make a switch etc).

Hi

Don't think an LC should have cooling problems unless it has had a fair bit of tuning, and most bikes only have overheating problems at low speed.

The old LC didn't have any cooling fans, but if you do loads of round town miles one might help. However at high speed it probably wouldn't help as it would screw up the airflow through the radiator.

Is the bike standard or heavily tuned?

Might be worth flushing the radiator through and checking the water pump works.

I cant imagine computer fans doing too much to help with overheating. Try something like a low voltage shower extraction fan?? I know you can get ones with flat motors that shouldnt take much room up at all. Failing that get yourself a new bike that doesnt overheat Very Happy
