"Released on bail" - I for one would have not seen anything if they had suffered a bit of police brutality, never mind bail.

It's kind of sad when you think about it how pathetic some people in this nation are that they actually get pleasure and kicks from seeing somebody die or get badly injured as a result of their prank.

Utter idiots.

That's a good point actually, they could technically be charged with that. Or something to do with intent to injure motorists anyway.

I used to live near that road and it's quite fast, bikers go round there fast and wouldn't have seen the blasted thing coming.

Let's hope those prats do get put away for attempted murder.

WTF thats intent on doing serious harm to someone! Thats leathal, more wee twats are going to start doing stuff like that to yet again endager more lives on the road. I need to chill out thats made me in a worse mood now! thankfully the security noticed it before there was an injury done. And as for let out on bail! hammer them! make sure more dont think they can get away with it.

Bring back corporal punishment! was less hassle then, not be so quick to do stuff if your about to get lashed for it. Evil or Very Mad

Very true Sad It's the same with anything these days, robbery, assault, or even terrorism. Anything published just hands around more ideas to those idiots that haven't already thought of something to help screw up people's lives.

Feck-all will happen to them. I got mugged by a bunch of louts 6 months ago, my wife was with me. One of them even tried to punch my wife, the most innocent and sweet of souls, and mother of my two children.

The police told us they won't bother trying to find them, as there were no witnesses, hence it would be our word against theirs that they tried to mug me, and that my wife and I weren't going about picking fights with large chavs.

Go figure.

on the flip side, I got mugged at knifepoint on new years day 2001 - also with my wife and kids in tow. Police couldnt have been better to be honest. I had a few days off work and they asked if I'd be interested in going round a known dodgy estate in chapeltown, Leeds in an unmarked car to try and find the lad.

I jumped at the chance and what a f**king eye opener that was! Gave me a new found respect for what the Police have to put up with. The car was unmarked but stuck out like a sore thumb. We were spat on as we drove through the streets, watching pimps with girls about 12 or 13 roaming the streets and middle class BMW drivers parking up to buy drugs.

No luck on the first day but 2nd day I spotted him. They called in another unit to pick him up, complete with dogs lol and they found some of my stuff still in in house. He went down for 3 years.

I think the problem these days must lie within the police's knowledge. If they have a pretty good idea of who it might have been then they have a better chance of catching them and are therefore willing to help. Where some people may have seen their attacker, maybe the guy on the moped in the mentioned article didn't get chance to look at the thugs that battered him.

Unfortunately there's so many louts/chavs whatever you want to call them about these days the police couldn't easily narrow it down to a specific few thugs, whereas sagalout may have caught a glimpse of the guy that mugged him and he may have already been known to police.

Saying that you're caught on camera 300 times a day (apparently) they should be able to track a bloody moped down. But maybe not Confused

what fucking wankers. They need to be done for attempted murder cos that's what it would amount to if a biker went through that.
