 |
|
I finally learnt how to corner today (counter steer lean etc.) and have been going far too fast but my damned little RS has trouble on steep hills
Living in sheffield it's hard to avoid them but does anybody have any tips? the only way I could get up Hagg Hill (one of the steepest roads in the world ever!) was with a push from a friendly van driver, no matter how many revs I tried to give it and how fast/slow I let out the clutch I got nothing but crumbling at about 1.5k revs and being overtaken by irate car drivers.

i only have a 50cc and there are a few steep roads near me i just keep it in a loew gear first or second that works for me and the way i think of it is you can go as fast or as slow as you want because you have payed your road tax. ____________________ https://50cc-bikes.aceboard.com/ |

the bike needs 5k revs just to start usually What happens is I do the above, rev it high release the clutch and the revs just die. Can't understand what I'm doing wrong. ____________________ Shine on, you crazy diamond

Keep the revs up in the power band It normally involves horrid noises on 2-strokes. The way back from rivvy has absolutely shit hills on the route, and it's just a matter of nailing the throttle.

Practice, practice and practice. I was having a mare doing hill starts on my DAS but my instructor kept making me do em, over and over. Once i nailed it, that was it, no worries now. O, and start on smaller hills, then progress up |
