I paid more for it with extras a year or so ago, but all offers I've had have been around this mark. Not sure what to do...

Remember he's 'undone' a lot of the added bits now, I believe.

Problem is there's not many people that will be willing to pay top dollar for an old blade, just 'cos it's quite mint - most will probably just get a newer blade .

Leave it five or ten years and it may be that 'classic', but as 'future classic' status, there's still quite a limited market.

So presumably falls down to whether he wants money now, or is willing to wait a while.

Mine's standard, apart from a few polished details. The bidding didn't rise above £1950 and the few offers I've had are all along that mark. I'd be able to buy a good NC30 for that money, with change, but my second bike search will be dented somewhat.

Just wondering if I'm going to get any better. My RVF was a similar niche market, with one such collector wanting my specific example, and hence went for a good price.

I wouldn't bother with ebay. It's where all the bargain hunters and those needing a quick sale go. As a general rule of thumb you will get 2/3rds of what you want on ebay.

To get more you need to advertise in the likes of biketrader etc, both on the net and in the mag and then be patient.

Your problem is that your bike is only going to appeal to a very small number of people that are willing to pay above average money for an outstanding example of something. Those sort of people are few and far between. You need to set up a longer term advert, it'll cost but it's the only way I see. Or maybe speak to a local dealer about putting it in their showroom, in that condition most would agree...for a fee.

Try advertising in USB or Classic Motorcycle Mechanics etc. You may get a slightly older market who are more interested in a bike for something other than solely it's performance.

It's a 29,000km NC30 with an RVF front end.

Out of the race reps, I do prefer the Konica Minolta (always have since they released the RCV) as I've got a thing about white Hondas. Best of the best for me is a Rothmans rep.

I do know of a similar kitted NC30 which comes out on 400greybike rideouts, doesn't look too bad, but I'm unsure on the lasting quality of the fairings. Definately stops people in their tracks where ever it goes, not too sure if I could cope with such attention.

As yet, I'm not completely decided, just a bit tempted...
