URGENT ADIVCE REQUIRED A.S.A.P power valve assay

take a look at the TOP 2 photos below. they are taken from my cagiva super city 125.

firstly the power valve housing seems to be broken at the collar! is it ok to put this back into the engine or can i repair it with quick steel?

also what can i use to gap the distance between the piston and pv slide as i cant find my feeler gauges?

also just though id upload the rest of my pic's as i have noticed that the cylinder head and transfer ports are very clean for a 26,000 km engine!!

no dont put it back in like that if im lookin correct if it snaps the powervalve will slide into the piston which is not good

just had a look and the collar cant slide in to the piston there is restriction in the size of the hole so it cant silde anyfurther than its suppose to. might just repair it with quick steel. what do you think good or bad idea -- bearing in mind im broke at the mo Crying or Very sad

yer should be ok. been offered a swap for a cagiva mito full power with an arrow exhaust. owner(my cusion) says its too fast for him. hes only 17 and its it first geared bike! what do you rekon... keep the super city(j-reg 26,000km) of swap for the mito(k-reg 50(odd),000km)???

keep the supercity definatly. You'll regret it if you swap it for a 30k, sports 125. I bet its been ragged to shit like most are since people dont keep up with the maintence.

Not only that at least you can sell the supercity later. Noone wants an old, high mileage and abused sports 125.

I'd buy a new PV housing, but i'd also check to see if that collar is held by the cylinder. IIRC it's only a bush and superglue* would hold it in there....

The stop that prevents the PV sliding in too far is on the outer housing so having a mashed collar won't make much difference.

How about having one "i'm ripping apart my supercity" thread and not the five that are running together about the same subject?

*use superglue at you're own peril as no one should recommend fixing engine components with it...
