Take it from me. Don't buy one.

The NC30 is a better bike, and thats at least 200 quid overpriced.

You'd be a lot happier on an old 600, and the NC24 cost an arm and a leg to run, when you can get parts.

Like Robby says, you can get an NC30 for that price (or less). The NC30 is a better bike and parts are more available do to the popularity of the bike.

Well a few parts cost for you.

Air filter - 15 quid and it dirties very quickly.
Pattern oil filter are 6 quid each.
Tyres are 100/90-16 front and 130/70-18 rear. BT45s are the best ones, but you may need to look for them, and you won't get a cheap tyres deal.

The front forks are very soft, try and find some stiffer springs if you want to keep it for a while. Heavy oil helps a bit, but not enough. Only really causes overdamping.

If its been standing, the electrics may be shot. If your allowed, get a multimeter on the alternator and regulator to test them. Both of those were shot on mine. 60 quid for a regulator, 60 more for a rewound alternator, new wire, and fitting if you dont do it all yourself.

If it is incredibly clean, then consider it, but get a long test ride first. And bear in mind that the 90 mile tank range can be complete arse.

I'll look for a NC30 but most of them round here are out of my price range - £1000 and my GS as Part Ex.
