Jobs by 2011?
I'm curious in that does anybody think there will be any jobs left at all in the UK by 2011? ie 5 years time, I was hassling a pensions company on behalf of a client, and the
guy at the other end spoke in a very very good fake cockney accent , and over time it seems
to have improved, but it was in India after the guy seemed to think that I was in the middle
of London and that Manchester was somewhere in the middle of London.
And that my office is going nuclear and in 2007 (its an accountancy firm) is sacking 200 staff to outsource 99.5% of the work, with the 0.5% being secretaries who scan in documents all day long SR125 girl who I had lunch with (just friends!) works in a law
firm that is considering Indian outsourcing too , except for the top solicitors. those that are left will be kept for 2 years to facilitate
this exodus.
Or will everybody just be stacking shelves in ASDA and working in Mcjobs or something by 2011?. Or will even those jobs be filled with Romanians and Bulgarians? ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. You can only outsource people who can actually work from a phone/internet connection. Try outsourcing your plumber to India! |

I think that it's a load of rubbish. Out sourcing as the others have said, has become quite pricey now. Therefore its no difference to have a call centre in the UK.
Over the past year I've noticed that I rarely speak to india when calling O2. I think a lot of companies are cottoning onto the fact that customers do not like it and it will be a pushing factor to change to another company/provider. ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |

I think its good that some companies are making a point to show that there call centres/staff are in UK as a way of making the company image better.
I think that its getting crazy, if they can speak good english i dont have a problem BUT theres nothing worse than needing something sorted ASAP and they dont understand you at all!! ____________________ 99 RS125 --> 02 SV650s --> 03 Speed Four --> 92 RXS100 --> 93 CB400sf --> 01 CB600f Hornet |

Trying to explain something to an indian out here is nigh on impossible, the useless bastards barely understand english let alone speak it!
I'm not racist, but 99% of the indian's i've met have abosolutely shocking english! And that other 1%? They've lived in England all their lives and therefore claim to be english.
That's funny as fuck.
Me: So where you from?
Indian english wannabe: England man, innit.

If you're born in England, you're English.
Anyway, I know plenty of people who speak better English than you, and you're a native.

If you are born in the UK you are British, English are of anglo-saxon descent the same that british indians are of indian desent, l like many other English find it offensive when those who are obviously non-europeans claim they are English.
You do not become part of a racial group by being born in the country it occupies its just like if l was born in india l would not be a indian but english man who is a indian citizen. ____________________ Past:NRG50,AF1125(x2),NSR125RR,ZZR250,CX500,VFR400,KR1S,ZZR600(x2),CB400N,YZF1000(x2),KH125,Z200,FX400R,CBR954RR(x2)GPZ500S,GT550,VFR750F(x2),RD350N,XR650R,CBR600F,CB250,KDX250,YZF750R,CRM250,400EXC,KLR650,TTR600RE,DR350S,R100GSPD,RGV250,VMAX1200,DL650,KZ750 Present:G650XC,C12,CRF450X,1190ADV |
