Plumbers charge you by the night?

Hope that includes the cost of the room! Wink

There will be a minimum callout charge, then after that I think plumbers charge time rather than price, though parts on top of that.

Not sure the going rate, I'd imagine about £15 per hour at least.

Had an emergency plumber out on Monday very early in the morning. No call out fee and £75 an hour.

ring round and say what? i dont know you but how much would you charge a company? (it'll be less that a private job if it's ongoing work)

I'd just work out a price that i'd be happy to work for(+overheads and proffit)

I know a few plumbers who are on call 24/7

I do know that andy and ian charge an initial call out fee of around 50 squids then 60 an hour after that

I know some others charge more.

Depends on your area the type of work

How much do you think your worth?

Overshoot and nobody pays, undervalue yourself people think your a cowboy or you just get screwed on potential income

Thumbs Up

You'd be looking at double time if it was a regular shift pattern.

If it's one's off you'd be wanting double time plus a much higher call out charge.

Remember if you go and do a nights work, you'll loose the next days wages plus you'll be slow as fook until your sleep pattern return. Do this for say 2 nights a week and you'll soon get pissed off and start loosing money.
