Went to work today and found out a young lad who also worked there had been involved in a fatal accident on the way home from work the previous day. Reports are sketchy so I wont comment other than I heard that he had hit a tree but this is currently unconfirmed. Thoughts are with his family at this sad time and a sad loss to the biking fraternity.

BBC News Suffolk reported it here : https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/suffolk/5344706.stm & Lowestoft Journal.

Yet more info on this at EDP Website. Appears they are now thinking he was "blinded by the sun". Could raise the debate for Dark/Tinted visor's being OK. I know I certainly wear mine when the suns out (and I carry my clear one in a visor bag around my waist at all times as well to change if needed).

If it was the crash in Heathfield hes called Steve, 19. He has a Yamaha YBR125. Friend of a friend, careful driver always in full leathers. Car hit his back end and he just lost it.

Thoughts are with him. And it send a message to us all. You can be the safest guy on the road but theres always idiots out there.

Be safe guys and girls.

It's not, since all four articles posted in the thread give his name as Michael Linfield (18).
