Doh
I feel stupid asking this, but I really would appreciate some help Embarassed

Basically, last night I pressed something on my alarm clock, and now it has set itself to announce every hour that passes by 'binging' very loudly Crying or Very sad

I recall in the manual when I first bought it that you had to press 2 buttons (I think) to tell it to announce every hour, or not

Last night was annoying to say the least. I would have fuc*ed said clock at the wall and used my mobile phone as an alarm, but I am bad at getting up in the mornings, and without my trusty 'snooze setting' alarm clock I would have slept in

Details: Clock is a Zeon 'Talkie2'. It has 4 lil buttons on the top... hour, minute, tm set, al set
Anyone have one ?

All help much appreciated Karma
Thanks in advance

Tried unplugging it and re-setting it.....

You'll need to leave it a while as it may still store the previous settings.....

On some, you can set it to 'chime' every hour, as well as when it has a time set as a one off.

Try just pressing the 'alarm on/off' button once and see what that does. Or, hold you finger on it for a couple of seconds.

Thumbs Up

Fuck the alarm clock and wake up when your body feels like waking up, if you're late for work tell your boss its for medical reasons.

"Optional hourly time announcement" - Play around more with the buttons until you find it or bribe your kid to do it.

Ste, I never thought I would say this, but your words motivated me !! Laughing
I have fiddled with that clock for AGES, I swear
I just took it into the kitchen now, after your words, to fiddle some more whilst dinner was cooking.
DETERMINED I was ! Ste told me to play with the buttons, so i will...
Very Happy

And fugg me if I have done it !
(Sounds like I have just won the Olympics !!)
I held the hour button down, then did something else (think it was minute button a couple o times )

A good nights sleep for me then !

Cheers

I'm glad this thread started because my alarm clock / cd / radio thingy humms. I lie there at night trying to doze off and all I do is listen to the hummm from within. How do I stop this without:

A. disconnect from the mains
or remove batteries.
B. Hide the thing.
C. Lob it out the window.

That noise is the mains transformer in it humming away.

If it's on a wodden bedside table then put it on a duster or something, otherwise you're stuck with it.

I have the amazing ability to wake up 10 minutes before the alarm is due to go off. If I go back to sleep I either wake up and look at the clock every few minutes, or fall back to sleep and jump like a start when it does go off. So I often think sod it, and get up the extra 10 mins.

Not that this helps you at all with your problem. Sorry. I was just sharing.... Embarassed

buy another one take a peek at the manual while leaving the shop turn round and ask for a refund , do it at an Argos or something , where the staff don't live on commissions and aren't too fussed about it to kick up a defence.
