Bike Magazine will be late this month

Dear Subscriber,

Just a quick note to let you know this month's copy of Bike will be with you a little later than normal, landing on your doorstep by October 11. This means waiting a few more days for your monthly fill but, believe me, it'll be well worth the wait.

The magazine's late because by holding back we've managed to get details on EVERY new bike for 2007, as well as a very exciting scoop story that can't be released until October 11 - it's top secret until that date, hence the delay. No other UK motorcycle magazine will have the story.

I've been fortunate enough to see next year's bikes and trust me, you'll love the November issue of Bike – just when you think the manufacturers have run out of new ideas, along come some utterly insane motorcycles.

I'm sure you'll agree its better to delay the release of the magazine for a couple of days than to miss out.

I hope you enjoy reading this month's issue as much as we've enjoyed writing it.

Couple of missing full stops, starting a sentence with And. It also doesn't flow very well. (I also skimmed it because I got bored).

Bike is going to be late this month, because they're all busy running around returning my MZ engine. Which they are finally, which is nice.

I remember a few years ago, my mountain biking mag was about a week late, due to some violent storm which meant that the magazines couldn't be shipped to the UK in time.

Being even more pedantic, that isn't the start of the sentence as there is no full stop preceding it.

Hah, I failed to get an Aberdare programme this year! I searched and searched but no-one was selling them at the end of the racing.

I needed it to tell what pictures I had were of what categories.

The punctuation is poor mrtEE, however much you wish you were the editor of an emap magazine. Some strangely placed commas I think you'll have to admit.

Personally I was taught it was bad form to start a sentence with the word and. It's like brackets aren't particularly good form, it's making up for something you missed earlier.

The format used to send the email meant that my email client didn't pick up on any apostrophes. They have, however, appeared when I pasted the email into BCF (and no, I didn't check it).
