Nothing but time! Wink

You could be super efficient and get float bowl rubber seals but 99% of the time they are fine time after time! Might be worth getting a few 5mm short bolts incase you distroy any getting them undone.

Depends why you are taking them off, if it's just to get them out of the way while you do work on the engine etc then you don't need anything. If you're fully stripping and checking the carbs then an overhaul kit is your best option, checking float bowls, float height etc then just a float bowl gasket.
Either get them from a dealer or somewhere like NRP.

Pull the airbox and open the throttles, lift a slide and look in - if you see metal discs in the inlet tracts you're restricted. If you're lucky you might be able to just pull the lid and the air filter, I can't remember if it was possible from working on my sister's bandit.

The restrictors are between the airbox and carbs then? Thought it was carbs and engine?

No, as Jay's pic shows you would have had to open the throttles and lift a slide to see. Smile

Aye, if they were before the carbs, the vacuum caused by the engine would cause far too much fuel to be taken in Smile

Groovy, thanks for your help.

Not very long, depending on how profficient you are with a spanner. I guess about an hour start to finish.
