Hi all ive had this problem before but its been so long since ive tinkered with my rs.

Anyway got it all runing now but when i go to rev it the bike bogs down. if i put the choke on it doesnt do it?

I took my carb apart and cleaned my jets checked my fuel pipes for blockages etc all seems ok.

Still doing it , not as bad but it still is. Will a new plug help?

Im gonna tinker with my mixture tomorrow to see if that helps as its smelling abit rich.

Could it be the mixture?

if it bogs down with out the choke on and then revs better when its on my guess is that its running lean.
you may have a leak in the rubber boot between the carb and the air box.
have you modified the air box or changed the filter, those 2 things will make it run lean
(bike generly don't bog down when rich they just blow black smoke. its normally when they are lean that they do.
try the wd40 trick and see if you have a air leak some where,
(spray wd40 at the rubber boot, while the bike is running, if the revs change you more than likely have a leak)
also check that your exhaust doesn't have a leak, or that its not all full of coke(carbon build up)

Its been stood all threw last winter and this summer over the past 4 days ive done it up again and got it running and it wasnt ticking over so i altered the mixture n it ticked over.

And as soon as i give it some revs it bogs out straight away at like 2000rpm

Hi

Err, one thing to check is that the 2 stroke oil pipe is connected (and connected to the correct spigot on the carb). Leave it disconnected and it will be running lean and also running without oil which can cause some interesting colour smoke.

White smoke is normally a sign of water.

All the best

Keith

Silly point i'm sure, but are you quite sure that choke off is not in fact choke on and visa versa? If you've not been out on the bike for a while even those things that you did without thinking before can be forgotten!
