Not really. A simple post stating the circumstances would have got you a quick enough apology, responding with threats of violence won't.

Ironic, given the subject of the original post.

Actually I thought it was ironic considering the thread as well.

I post a non-personal reply so you become personally insulting for no reason that I can see.

So why the personal insult?

It was actually meant in the spirit of the internet insult leading to violence theme, hence the 'wondering if my address was on the web'. Probably badly worded.

Either way, no actually offence intended and apologies if taken that way. Karma

Okay, if you're in a fluffy mood can you answer me a question about the Honda Bros. The rear wheel bearings are ridiculously expensive off Wemoto. Is this because they are specially made by Honda, or is can you get the same size bearings from an bearing supplier for half the price? Also, why did they use those totally stupid bolt heads on the bolts that hold the two halves of the front brake caliper together?

The bearings are available from a bearing supplier but you only save about 25-30% you really need a 10ton press to fit them and they're a bitch to remove.

I have a socket to remove the hub nut and you may need a hydraulic puller to remove the cush drive.

To wind you up. I have the sockets to remove them.

Okay so they a bastard to remove and fit then? I have a large selection of hammers and punches so I reckon I'll get by. Hopefully the current ones will last a few more months.

No problem, I have one as well. It's called a 3/8ths single hexagon Smile 10mm is only slightly too large, I reckon 9mm would go on if you were willing to hack it up a bit.

Machine mart sell the whole set of sockets and they're pretty cheap. Was some dude selling the bearings on ebay for £25 a set so keep a look out.

Problem with hammers is you'll damage the needle roller as you fit it a probably crack the aluminium hub getting the bearings out. Rare the bearings need replacing, normally the hub just needs tightening up.

Tell me more Smile Think I've read through the hawk manual before without seeing anything about this. Are the bearings tapered then? There was a little play in the rear wheel when I first got the bike last year, and 6 or 7k miles later there is now a fair bit (though I got it MOTed last week, but I reckon any more play and they'd have failed it). I need to fix/bodge the cush drive if I'm dismantling the rear wheel spindle assembly. My bros is fairly low mileage (18k miles when I got it, plus 7k i've done), but I'm not convinced that it hasn't seen more (maybe been couriered).

It's not about the internet, it's about Islamics. Those who care enough to go and chat about it in chat rooms are probably the extremists. Rolling Eyes
