vibey engines, fuel tanks are too small, run out of puff on the open road. If you're daily commute is through a major town then would be an absolute riot though. ____________________ My Flickr |

Scrote magnets. They will come from MILES around to steal one, you will need to be able to watch it pretty much 24/7 and have some damn good security to stand a chance of keeping it.

Why not look at "street moto's" like a water down supermoto. Like the KTM Superduke, Yamaha XT660 X etc. ____________________ My Flickr |

why not look on the ccm owners website, i have a 644 R30 and although it aint that powerful its a good crack, service intervals are every 3k and its nerver let me down ... apart from running out of petrol.
I'd say there great for short distance riding but 400 miles would be well uncomfortable on your bum and you'd have to fill up a few times |

They are fun, but somewhat limited.
Don't buy one if you have any fillings in your teeth as they will be shaken loose by the vibes. ____________________ Space Monkey #7

Husabergs can be had for around the £1500 mark. I'd only buy one for a fun commute, learn how to stunt, or to go to a supermoto track. I doubt they're much fun for long rides. What's the point in taking an offroad bike and riding it on the road? Tart value, that's all.
It's like putting road tyres on a landrover, then comparing it to a lotus (well, not quite, but you get the point). Unless you're heavily swayed by the tartiness of a supermoto, or you'll actually make use of the wheelie/stoppie capability or the flickability then there's probably a better bike out there...

I like Supermotos purely for the fact that I reckon I would get a rush from stunting rather than going fast. And I think some of them look really mean |
