had to replace the wheel bearings just over 3 weeks ago as the others which had about 4k on them, one had seized up, anyway i got new bearings 14quid for 2 ,i got them directly from a bearings place. so i get them fitted bike feels great from then until now. then this morning i was on my way to work going around a bend and noticed that the front was a bit shakey so i took it easy to work on the way home i noticed it again. so i got my bro to have a listen and help me check the bearings in the headstock were fine which they are . thing is i havn't been wheeling or going fast over speed bumps/humps (take your pick) since i got them replaced and havn't done very many miles.
has this happened to anyone else ? i'm a bit fucked off they've gone this quick. any ideas if it could be somthing else causing it ? ____________________ Northern Irish Biker? www.nibikers.com |

as long as they are well greased and preloaded then they should be fine, anyway this should be in the workshop section really. they wont of gone off that fast and 4k seems low miliage for them as well. ____________________ 2nd time around CBT: 8/9/11

i guess that preload is the wrong word, i mean they were adjusted correctly, i just go by setting them 2 a certain torque setting is preloading them, at least to some sort of degree. ____________________ 2nd time around CBT: 8/9/11
