The ZXR4 is comparatively stable, having a fairly long wheelbase for a 400. Very light too, and physically small, so its easy to manhandle about the place ____________________ TL1000s, KDX200 |

May not mean a lot.
For instance, gearing, gear ratios, traction and aerodynamics can all effect it quite a lot.
For instance, from what I remember a RS125 wasn't running much slower than a much more powerful VFR400 at one strip.
Would have thought a 12 was a bit optomistic for a 400?
On the speed comparison thing - I did a few laps of about 55.1 at the Brands Hatch track day we did at the beggining of the year. This put me around midway in the fast group, with me and another SV definitely being the lowest powered bikes around there.
The weekend later, when something went wrong with the carbs, I managed the same lap times, but this time with only 35hp from my SV650. Similar times are done by the lower powered RS125.
So a restricted bike does not /have/ to be slow and if you want to go fast, learning to ride fast is more important than buying a fast bike.
As far as skill goes, there are a hell of a lot of people that are a lot faster than me out there as well. |

Quick question, you do need to take a motorcycle theory test even though you have only just recently taken a car theory test right? |
