I've had a few trouser filling moments on the bike but tonight I was so close to having my first off, so very f**king close
I was pulling away from the kerb tonight and pulled away as usual and suddenly the rear wheel lost traction, the revs went sky high which made the rear wheel spin even faster, now i was leaning over a bit so the rear end swung right out to my left, as soon as it happened i thought "f**k it i'm coming off here" but somehow i recovered it only for it to step out to the right then it snapped upright and almost highsiding me off. i dunno what the hell caused it because i went back to see if their was something on the road but all i could see was the black line from the rear wheel, i'm guessing it was just cold tyres.
I think the bike will be going into hibernation this weekend
ps. Pilot Power 2CT are shite in the winter |

I would think it was probably cold tires I did a very similar thing to you last year. I came out of my brothers driveway far too quick and lost traction but ended up lowsiding on the main road.
The weather was very much like we are having at the moment the roads and tires are cold. So when moving off just take it easy for the first couple of miles.
Glad you didn't come off and hurt yourself. ____________________ Bikes: Honda CBR250RR [sold], Yamaha FZR600 [sold], Honda CBR600RR6 |

Coming out the airport car pack Thursday night after work, accelerate just to wheelspin out the corner and up the road.
Also found out when coming back from a 90 minute or so ride round some twistys that my tyres didnt really ever warm up, wondered why they felt a bit vauge
