Hi everyone , myself and cestarian are wanting to arrang a bike chat forum bike meet , somewhere in the midlands , nothing special just all of us meeting up at various places and riding to a central location for a good day out riding chatting and everyone getting to know one another from here .
We are up in North Wales and thinking of riding down to the midlands , picking more and more BCF members up as we go Laughing .
Be great fun start as two end up as 60 Razz .
We were just woundering if there were any people interseted in all meeting up , and very open to ideas , as currently plan to ride from North Wales via Chester , Manchester , Stockport , Chesterfield and end up in Matlock Bath on a Sunday of course , please let us know so we can arrange something , probably on a nice hot day in August .

I JUST THINK IT WOULD BE GREAT IF WE COULD ALL MEET UP AT ONE OF THE BEST MEETING PLACES IN THE MIDLANDS .

I f there is alot of interest lets keep the thread going with ideas of where to ride out to , where to meet at various places along the way and more importantly who is up for it .

All the best Richard

Hope we can pull it off , just leave a reply if interested and between us we can sort something out

BCF meets in the past have been attempted. Never really get past the planning stages. This is a forum with thousands of members. Regional ride outs are best.

Thousands of members shouldnt be a problem , we could get a couple of members fromeach area to arrange it there end and then have a dozen or so to arrange the meeting places with the one end destination , may work well Wink

Things usually "spontaneously" happen. It's like on killspills or S.F sunday when you get small little cliques i.e. reading lot, herts lot, box hill lot faffing about in their respective locations and then meeting up at the ace sometime in the day. Nobody plans these things, we usually just get a text message from a mate asking for a ride out, and if anything big is happening at the ace or summat, you'll probably bump into another member. It's less obvious who the members are if you're a newbie, but you get to see the regular faces.

Besides, its too bloody cold to be clutting our way up to Matlock in these months. My mates from uni rode up from lufbra last week and they said turnout was pretty good, but weather will be kicking in and i suspect the sportsbike guys will be hibernating their machines too.

Could be a shot in spring though

Plus you've missed out on the Northern areas there. (I'm talking North of Leeds here). Mind you, it would take an awfully good incentive to get us to leave the North Yorkshire roads and head any further south...... We don't have speed cameras in North Yorkshire Very Happy and view the rest of the country (the South) as one big overly congested, 50mph zoned, constant double white lined, speed camera infested area of frustration where the only fun to be had is boasting about going KD around a roundabout Confused ... hmmm North Yorkshire TT FTW me thinks Thumbs Up

Rich, if we picked up 5 or 50 along the way, the ride out should be good. If anyone has a smaller bike and wont keep up or can't go on motorways, I have space for one more on the back of my bike.

So thats.....

HHHHMMMM Extreme 3d , guess you dont get out very often then , cant remember the last time i ever saw a speed camera on the side of Snowdonia ( Ah got it , must have missed it as it ran past on the back of a sheep , being in Wales and all .
But the ride out in summer isnt about going balls out , to see who can trash their bike the quickest , its all about individuals with bikes meeting up and socialising .
Anyway you enjoy the twisties , they can get a little lonely on your own Wink

August is a long way off. Most people don't know what they will be doing next week let alone next year.

Isn't that what diaries are for? If you're interested, expect a Sunday ride-out in August (write it in your diary so you don't forget). It's quite simple really.

Myself and distortion are going to the Manx gp in August next year, but as long as the rideout doesn't clash with this we'll be there. I'll have a bike by then too Very Happy

Cestrian / Rich, anytime you plan to go for a rideout around the Peaks / North Staffs / Cheshire area give me a shout, always looking for an excuse to get out.

On may day there was about 15+BCFers that made it to mine Thumbs Up

if all types of bikes are welcome - im in - fancy a long summer ride

perhaps i could persuade some of the local bcfers to join too, as we recently have been having decent ride out attendance in bolton and surrounding areas.

I'm definitely interested. If I've not managed to get myself a "propper" bike by then I'll eat my helmet!
