They are the most annoying coins you can get given as change. No machines accept £2 coins, they are big, they are so amazingly pointless I don't even see why they were introduced. Yet, I have in my lap 4 £2 coins and I want to use the washing machine. Oh look they only accept £1 frigging coins!!! Crying or Very sad

All machines i come across accept £2 coins...

I'd much prefer a couple of £2 coins as opposed to a load of £1's in my wallet.

I don't mind the £2 coin, but I do think we should have a 49p and 99p coin.

I live in Student Accommodation. Therefore we have to use the launderette provided.

I can only ever remember a few machines accepting £2 coins. I know they are more convenient for carrying around, but I find them a bit annoying.

Now i've moved the beer is cheaper, thus killing off my use for them. Crying or Very sad

I love the design of the £2 coins, they actually look like they are worth something unlike than the cheap plastic like new 5ps and 10ps.
It's madness I know but I don't like giving away/spending £2 coins I'd rather give somone a fiver.

Where in London can you buy a pint (in a pub?) for £2? Where did you move to?

A pint for under £2, you must be drunk! And if you're not, I want to move there! Unless it's up north! Razz )

I personally like £2, they are the 'nugget' of the coin world!

Generally speaking, the only coin I keep in my pocket is a £1 coin. Whenever I get home from college, work or a night out, all the other coins get shoved into piggy banks to help pay for Xmas. It's surprising how quickly you can collect £150 in £2 coins...

The student union when I was at university was £1.40 a pint! Laughing £1 a drink during happy hour! Thumbs Up

Every Tuesday there was a Tequila bar in town which did Tequila slammers for 60p a pop too. Shocked Thumbs Up Smile Very Happy Laughing Embarassed Sick Thumbs Down

I like £2 coins. It feels like they should be worth something. Coppers, fives and twenties annoy me. They're too small and light.

I also thought that when I read it.

Saying that, go to the right places in Reading and you can get it for under that.

All the machines that I've used recently have accepted £2 coins.

I don't ever pay more than £1.70 a pint here, my Dad's pub in Leeds is £1.20 a pint, and on a weekend at the union, for every goal that's scored in a football game they show they knock 10p off all drinks. God bless Tottenham Hotspurs. Mr. Green £1.30 a pint.

I quite like £2 coins, they're not as cumbersome as £1 coins, though it is annoying the launderette doesn't accept them that's a machine flaw, not a flaw of the coin.

I've only used it once since I got here. Every time I run out of clean clothes I've booked a train ticket instead. Laughing I've got 2 weeks to last after 2 weeks already elapsed since my last visit, I might have to visit it this time. Shocked

Oh and our washing machines are £2 a pop, and £1 a pop for the dryers. Sad Middle Finger

WTF Rookie you lazy barsteward!!!

I spent £12 on washing last night, four loads for me and my girlfriend to share.

It's £1.80 to wash and £1 to dry here.

I do the washing here every week.

I love £2 coins... I wish I had about half a million of em!

You'll hate the £5 coin that they're bringing out then...Although I think it's only a Ltd edition to commemorate some royal thing.
