xs 650 boyer branston inginiton

i got the boyer branston electronic inginiton on mi xs650 but every time i ride mi chop the thing cuts out i found it 2 be the coil but wen the coil is cold its perfect but after a few min of running it gets hot (if i aint moving) even wen the engine is cold and not running it gets hot if the ingition is on
(cold it works)
(hot it dont work)

what causes this ?

Was the coil supplied with the ignition system or is it the original Yamaha one?

After running your post through Babelfish I think I got the gist of it.

The Boyer Bransden kits are notoriously picky with coils (at least they were a few years back, fitted a Bransden kit to my GPz and mated it up to first Dyna and then Accell coils), so it could be a resistance issue. On the other hand, that description is almost textbook for a wiring issue. Heats up, expansion in the loom, all of a sudden no connection.

What do you mean when you say you found it to be the coil? Have you actually dropped the coil off and checked it, or are you simply checking for a spark?

Sounds like the coil is mismatched to me. If the Boyer Brandston thing is marketed as performance kit, you'll almost certainly need upgraded coils as well.

They are also notoriously fussy about battery condition. If your battery is getting a bit old, maybe time for a new one.
