i had this problem recently with my RS50
It sounds like your engine is flooded to be honest.
Every time you try to start it, it is pushing petrol through the engine, if its not igniting, you will just have pure petrol going straight through.
I got a spark and everything, but the damn thing wouldn't start. Try jump starting it from a car. What you wanna do is connect it all up properly and just keep pressing the ignition. The starter motor should go round and whatever, and keep going round... but the bike may not start at first (mine took about 30 mins!!!). Eventually, hopefully, the petrol will be pumped through the system, and the bike should start. If you can turn off your petrol, now would be a good time to do it, before you jump it, lol. I had petrol just spraying outta my exhaust for about 10 mins when I got my bike started, but after that it worked fine, and today I tested it, and it starts electronically fine now (touch wood).
Sometimes leaving the petrol on for a while will let it run though. Also, everytime you try to start the bike, especially if you are twisting the throttle and using the choke, its just pumping more and more petrol through the system.
I hope it works out for you.

What EXACTLY happens when you press the electric-start button?
A click?
A click and the whirr of the starter but the bike doesn't fire?
Nothing at all?
If it works when bumped, the bike itself is mechanically sound. Likely just starter switch, starter motor itself, or the starter solenoid... ____________________ FAB-Racing MiniMotoSidecars - Back with a vengeance - F1 Class 2011...

the battery might be flat.. even a new battery left for 3 months can end up flat.
if you take out the plugs, and the engine turns over, but it doesn't turn over with the pluigs in, it could just be the battery doesn't have enough juice to overcome the compression.
Bumpstarting it proves it's not compression, plugs or anything else.
Check when it IS running that it's charging the battery.. running a bike with a knacked reg/rec means your running off the battery, and not recharging it..

I would try and use another battery to see if that works, if not, check the wiring around and behind your electric start button-type-thing, has something got a dodgy/broken connection? or come loose?
otherwise, you may well be looking at salvaging a new starter motor or something in that region, good luck ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. Job done |

how do you know your battery is fine ?
download my file https://www.geneva-racing.com/~alains/NSRtips.doc and look chapter about batteries
when the stater clicks and does not turn the flywheel , it's 2 possibilities :
- starter relay is worn , due to too many electric arks when pushing button (contacts destroyed)
- starter motor needs to be cleaned with brushes & springs changed (it's quit simple , see my doc) ____________________ the worst day fishing is better than the best day working |
